POCOLA — The Talihina Lady Golden Tigers were able to overcome a first-quarter deficit and hold off the Pocola Lady Indians for a 45-42 win Tuesday night at the Pocola Gym.
Down 17-11 after a period, the Lady Golden Tigers outscored the Lady Indians 14-8 in the second quarter to get the game tied at 25-all at halftime.
The game was nip and tuck in the second half, with Talihina outscoring Pocola 20-17 to get the three-point win.
Spiro 48, Idabel 24: In Spiro, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an 11-5 lead after a period, and not only outscored the Lady Warriors in all four quarters but held the visitors to single digits in each period — with Idabel's nine-point fourth quarter its largest scoring output of any period.
Whitesboro 63, Panola 35: In Panola, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 15-4 lead and were never headed.
All total, 12 players scored for Whitesboro.
