HOWE — It took about five years, but someone finally left town with a win over Howe Lady Lions.
Arkoma became the first-ever girls team to defeat the Lady Lions on their home court as the Lady Mustangs posted a 60-51 win.
The Lady Mustangs jumped out to a 16-9 lead after one period en route to a 34-27 lead at halftime.
The Lady Lions cut the deficit to 46-41 after three periods, but that was as close as they got.

Panama 44, McCurtain 33: Friday night in Panama, the Lady Razorbacks jumped out to a 17-0 lead to take control of the game.
Stigler 41, Heavener 29: Friday night in Stigler, the Lady Panthers jumped out to a 17-4 lead after one period and never looked back.
Broken Bow 52, Talihina 41: Saturday in Broken Bow, the Lady Savages, who trailed 6-0 in the opening period, ended the quarter with a 9-0 run to take a 9-6 lead after one period.
The game came down to two Broken Bow players, Camille Gill and Jade Mitchell. While the duo did not score a point when the teams met last month in Talihina, they combined for 21 points Saturday night.
Wilburton 44, Talihina 36: Friday night in Wilburton, the Lady Diggers jumped out to a 11-0 lead after one period, but the Lady Golden Tigers did cut the deficit to two points at 25-23 with about a minute left innthe third quarter.
After a questionable no-call on an over-and-back violation against Wilburton, the Lady Diggers cashed in on the potential gift possession by hitting a 3-point basket at the buzzer to take a 30-23 lead into the final period.
Keota 56, Wister 54: Friday night in Keota, the Lady Lions, who trailed 39-34 after three periods, outscored the Lady Wildcats 22-15 in the final quarter to get the come-from-behind win.
