Charges have been filed against Erica Racelle Wright, 29, of Poteau after police say she led a sheriff's deputy on short chase after crashing into a utility pole while intoxicated.
The events, which took place in December, started at the E-Z Mart in Poteau when a sheriffs deputy approached Wright on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Wright reportedly fled from the deputy in her vehicle, crashed into a utility pole, and then continued to flee.
Wright was eventually apprehended after two tires blew out.
Police say that Wright was refused a blood alcohol test and was transported to a Fort Smith hospital with a suspected broken arm.
Her charges include attempting to elude a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence, 2nd offense.
