    The Winter Blast that moved through LeFlore County on 2-1-2011 left enough ice on the roads that it was impossible to get around for two days. We here at PDN were out snapping photos and realized that the Western Sizzlin restuarant in Poteau was closed. We don't recall a time when we have ever seen that parking lot empty in the afternoon.

    The Kapper “ kids”, Kade, Kyle, Mackenzie and Jake, who reside in Texas, were in Poteau recently visiting their cousins, Haley and Brandon Durant. During their time in Poteau, the children visited Poteau Valley Humane Society along with their dog, “Mr. Peabody” whom they rescued from PVHS four years ago.

    The Kapper “ kids”, Kade, Kyle, Mackenzie and Jake, who reside in Texas, were in Poteau recently visiting their cousins, Haley and Brandon Durant. During their time in Poteau, the children visited Poteau Valley Humane Society along with their dog, “Mr. Peabody” whom they rescued from PVHS four years ago. While at the shelter, the children took a tour and spent time with the puppies currently up for adoption. Maternal grandparents are Jim and Myrna Davis of Poteau.
