Blood Drives celebrate National Blood Donor Awareness Month

Blood is a commodity that we can never have enough of, as a society. The needs for blood range from blood replacement for surgery to use for traumatic accident victims. Blood drives happen throughout the year, and Oklahoma Blood Institute is the most well-known name in LeFlore County when it comes to the blood business. This month, OBI is celebrating the 50th anniversary of National Blood Donor Awareness Month and also recognizing a local organization that has helped them go above and beyond.
According to OBI Account Consultant and Donor Organizer Greg Womack, the institute has special events planned throughout the month, as well as some regular blood drives.
