Firefighter honored for his service

It takes a lot of heroes putting life and limb on the line to keep a community safe. The men and women that protect us from crime, natural disaster and the daily dangers of life are our first and best line of defense against things that would harm us.
Many LeFlore County residents agree that we have some of the best hometown heroes in the world, and one such person is being recognized for his years of excellent service.
Panama Assistant Fire Chief Justin Williamson received Panama Firefighter of the Year from his colleagues on Thursday.
