Joshua Lee Luecking

Joshua Lee Luecking, 39, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Poteau died Friday, April 4, 2014, in Indianapolis. Funeral services are under the direction of Evans and Miller funeral home in Poteau.Josh was born on Oct. 9, 1974 in Amarillo, Texas, to Bruce and LaVella Luecking. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Geneva Sanderson; paternal grandparents, Henry and Rita Luecking; and aunt, Wynnona Winters.Josh moved with his family to Poteau in 1989 and graduated from Poteau High School in 1993. He moved to Indianapolis in 2002 where he had been employed as an electrician. Josh enjoyed fishing and helping others.Josh’s friends in Indianapolis will have a memorial service in Indianapolis at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Pathways, 2135 N. Alabama, Indianapolis, IN, 46202.Josh is survived by his parents, Bruce and LaVella Luecking; sister, Amanda “KJ” Hogrefe; and nieces, Kaelyn and Kylee all of Poteau; paternal aunts and uncles, Steve and Peg Luecking of Chicago, Dan and Jan Luecking of Fayetteville, Ark, Jim and Brenda Luecking of Sidney, Ill., Nancy and Glen Kruse of Rochester, Ill, Tom and Laura Luecking of Freeburg, Ill, Angie and Dan Davis of Mascoutah, Ill, Glenn and Kelly Luecking of St. Libory, Ill, and Jane and Sean Hogan of Mundelein, Ill.; maternal aunts and uncles, Randy and Sybil Sanderson of Gould, Gawain Sanderson of Hollis, Walter Sanderson of Dodson, Texas, Katie and Paul Taylor of Midwest City and Joe Sanderson of Poteau. Josh also leaves behind his cousin and friend, Tish Orlet, other cousins, friends from Poteau and many friends in IndianapolisJosh struggled in life and lived it his way. His family loved him. He will be missed. May he find peace.Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Evans and Miller Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Evans chapel with Nathan Bain pastor of Hosanna Christian Fellowship officiating. Josh will be buried Monday, April 14, in the Dodson, Texas, cemetery beside his grandmother. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital or a charity of their choice.
