Original floor lamp from Oklahoma Senate returned

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Another long-lost light fixture is returning to its home at the Oklahoma Senate. After hearing about ongoing Senate renovations, Coy Green of Norman learned that a large floor lamp he purchased at a swap meet more than 40 years ago was housed in the Senate in 1918.Green delivered the lamp to Senate officials on Tuesday, telling them it needed to be home.Last week, workers renovating Senate offices discovered 11 of the 20 original wall sconces that hung in the Senate in a long-forgotten attic space. A story on that discovery included photos from the Oklahoma Historical Society that showed about ten floor lamps in the Senate chamber. When Green saw those photos, he remembered the floor lamp he'd been storing in his barn.
