Runner shows heart of Steele; CASC athlete pursues sport after near-death event

Carl Albert State College cross country runner Mandy Steele has overcame the greatest adversary there could be — death.
The Lady Viking runner was running in the half marathon of the Vike Hike on March 28, 2015 — during her senior year at Haworth High School. She was just about a mile from the finish line when the unthinkable happened.
