Spiro woman arrested in stabbing

A Spiro woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend during an argument with a knife he had gifted her for her birthday. According to the affidavit, LeFlore County Deputy Rebecca Hendrix was dispatched to the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center emergency room on Dec. 11, to investigate a domestic abuse claim. According to his statement to Hendrix, stabbing victim Richard Edwards claimed that his girlfriend, Blinda Davis, 40, of Spiro, allegedly stabbed him. According to the police report, Edwards had a small cut on his left arm, one on his stomach several inches in length and another, larger laceration approximately seven inches long on his right breast. The laceration was deep and required 12 stitches, according to the affidavit. According to Davis' statement, Edwards came home drunk and an argument started over water in the kitchen floor. Davis told Hendrix that Edwards pushed her into a mirror during the argument and had choked her. Davis then allegedly told the deputy "I got him off me." When asked how, she allegedly told Hendrix "I cut him." Davis was booked into the LeFlore County Detention Center with one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. She has since been released from jail after posting bail.
