A student examines effects of budget cuts in the arts

Schools feel the budget cuts every day. Some of the most impacted are the students and teachers involved it the arts.
Teachers and students have had to adapt to the changes. Teachers and students voice concerns over the loss of funding for these programs.
While schools all over the state have been affected by the cuts, it is smaller schools that had little to work with in the first place that saw the most change. Poteau schools, for example, have seen an increase in students interested in band, choir and art classes.
