PANAMA — The Poteau Lady Pirates got a much needed win Thursday afternoon, beating the host Panama Lady Razorbacks 8-1.Trailing 1-0 after an inning, the Lady Pirates tied the game at 1 in the second inning, then scored three runs in the third inning and four runs in the seventh.Wister 10, Arkoma 3: In Wister, the Lady Wildcats broke a scoreless tie with a five-run third inning and a single run in the fifth to make it 6-0.Cameron 7, Whitesboro 4: In Cameron, the Lady Yellowjackets broke a scoreless tie with a five-run fifth inning and a two-run sixth.The Lady Bulldogs tried to mount a rally in the seventh inning. They scored four runs, but left the bases loaded to end the game.Pocola 13, Wilburton 0: In Pocola, the Lady Indians jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, then put the game into run-rule status with a nine-run fourth inning — capped by Brooklyn Morton's grand-slam.Heavener 17, Gore 7; Heavener 15, Webbers Falls 0: In Gore, the Lady Wolves dominated both opponents in getting their wins.In the win over the host Lady Pirates, the Lady Wolves, who trailed 5-3 after an inning, scored twice in the second and third innings, seven runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth to win going away.In the victory over Webbers Falls, Heavener scored 13 runs in the first inning.Roland 14, Spiro 2: In Spiro, the Lady Rangers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning en route to a 8-1 lead by the top of the fourth inning.Keota 10, Howe 2: In Keota, in a battle of Lady Lions, Keota broke a scoreless tie with a four-run third inning.After Howe cut the deficit in half in the fourth inning, Keota scored four runs in its fourth inning and two runs in the fifth to put the game into run-rule status.Editor's note: Nothing was reported on Talihina's game at Smithville by press time.
