Happy Retirement, Pat!

The Community State Bank’s longtime employee Pat Donathan, center, retired at the end of the work day Friday after beginning her more-than-50 years of service to the local banking institution Oct. 13, 1970. Donathan, who was one of the original seven employees when the bank was formed in 1970, has been the chief operations officer since 1992 and served on the board of directors since 1988. During a pre-workday celebration, The Community State Bank President Larry Spradley, right, gave Donathan four gifts — new shoes for hiking, a new camera in which she can take photographs while hiking, a lifetime membership to all the state parks in the country and a round-trip airline trip to Alaska. “I’ve enjoyed the people I have worked with and the customers I’ve served. I’ve made many long-lasting friends over the years,” Donathan said. Sharing the moment is fellow board member and bank co-founder Bob Reed.
