Legislative Breakfast

LeFlore County Farm Bureau presented gift baskets of Oklahoma-made products to local county officials, state legislators and field representatives of United States senators in attendance at Friday morning’s Legislative Breakfast, which took place at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center and was put on by LeFlore County Farm Bureau and the Poteau Chamber of Commerce. Those in attendance were, from left, LeFlore County Treasurer April Caughern, LeFlore County Assessor Deana Morrison, Sen. James Lankford’s Field Representative Laramie Cochran, District 1 Rep. Eddy Dempsey, District 3 Rep. Rick West, District 5 Sen. George Burns, District 1 County Commissioner Vallard Campbell III and Sen. Josh Brecheen’s Field Representative Josh Hildabrand. Dempsey, West and Burns told those in attendance what is upcoming at the 59th Oklahoma State Legislature as well as fielded questions on topics like education, roads/highways and government involvement.
